Cook with Rocket is designed with your privacy first. Your recipes and data stay on your device. We don't require an account, and we don't sell your data.
Recipe import content: When you import a recipe by URL, photo, video, or text description, that content is transmitted to our servers solely to extract the recipe using AI. We process this content transiently and do not retain it after the recipe has been returned to your device.
Device data: All recipes, preferences, shopping lists, cooking history, and achievements are stored locally on your device using iOS's on-device storage. We have no access to this data.
No personal information: We do not collect, store, or process your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personally identifiable information. No account creation is required to use the app.
Purchase information: If you subscribe to Rocket Premium, your purchase is processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status — RevenueCat may receive anonymised purchase receipt data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
When you use the photo import feature, the App requests access to your device's camera or photo library. This access is used solely to capture or select an image of a recipe (e.g., a cookbook page) for AI extraction. Photos are transmitted to our servers only for processing and are not stored after the recipe has been extracted. We do not access your camera or photo library for any other purpose.
The App includes an in-app web browser that allows you to browse recipe websites and import recipes. When you use this browser:
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, it is retained until you delete the app or manually clear your data within the app settings. Recipe import content sent to our servers for processing is deleted immediately after the extraction response is returned.
Cook with Rocket is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Since we do not store personal data, the risk of a data breach affecting your personal information is minimal.
Since we do not collect or store personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete on our servers. To delete your local app data, you can use the "Reset all data" option in the app's settings, or uninstall the app from your device.
We may use privacy-friendly analytics on our website (cookwithrocket.com) such as Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track individual users or build profiles. The app itself does not include any third-party analytics SDK.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
